Class limited to 4 participants
This class will introduce young mariners to the world of traditional and modern boats. With water safety in the forefront students will learn to paddle and sail Waterside Workshops' traditionally built rowboats, canoes, and sailboats, as well as our modern sailboats and kayaks. Students will learn boat handling and construction methods.
Students will be introduced to ropework and learn handy knots. Although the class will largely focus on boat handling and water safety, some wood working will be introduced as a hands-on explanation of the boatbuilding process and traditional tool use.
